I discussed the problem with Scott Swing at the factory. He stated that when the bend goes beyond the flange, only about 1/10" of the bushing is affected and that the area wears off during taxi testing, eliminating the problem. However, he also mentioned that I could play around with the location of the Belleville washers to accomplish the function and that I could even get rid of the phenolic washer if necessary, as it only acted as a spacer. As possibilities, he recommended eliminating the phenolic washer and replacing it with one extra Belleville and flat washer on top, or even two Belleville and one flat on top, with the other two on the bottom, if I had enough space.
