I decided on the final location of the different components of the panel and started making the openings. As opposed to most other airplanes, the Velocity uses a right hand, center control stick. Therefore, any instruments and buttons located on the right side of the panel are difficult to reach and operate from the pilot's seat. Velocity pilot friends K. Steiner, C. Woolston and J. Schoorl recommended panel design considering this difference from most other airplanes which are controlled with the left hand and allow easy reach to both sides of the panel. In this regard, I located most of the avionics in front of the pilot, especially those that are used the most.
